Verification for Channels

Channels can now be verified with one of two badges. Celebrities and influencers receive a blue tick, while government entities receive a grey one. It's easy to see at a glance who you're actually following.

A tilde (~) mark now appears next to unknown contacts in your chat list, so you can instantly tell who you haven't saved yet. Available on Android.

Email Markdown Support  

Tap an email address and go straight to composing

Email addresses shared in chats now appear as clickable links. Tap one, and your mail app opens with the To field already filled in, so you can get to writing without any copy-pasting. Available on Web.

Enhanced Link Preview on Stories  

Links in your Story now display more clearly

When you share a link in your Story, the preview now renders more cleanly, giving viewers a better look at what you're sharing before they tap. Available on Web.
