Do More with Live Location on Arattai

By Samuthra Prakash07 July 2025

We built Live Location on Arattai to go beyond just showing where you are. Not just a pin, but your actual live movement as you go.

Here's what makes it different.

Till I Reach

Share your location until you arrive

With most apps, your location keeps sharing even after you've arrived, until the timer runs out or you manually stop it. Till I Reach fixes that. It automatically stops sharing the moment you get there, so nobody is left watching a pin that's already stopped moving.

Before you start sharing, you can set your destination by searching for it, dropping a pin manually, or picking from your saved locations.

And once the journey ends, an ended trace stays in the chat. You can see where it started, where it ended, the time it took, and the distance covered. A clean summary of the journey, right there on the map.

Group Sharing

Share your location with a whole group, watch everyone's movement

Planning a trip with friends or family? Everyone can share their live location in a group chat, and all your routes show up on the same map together. So instead of everyone checking locations separately, you can just open the map and track all on one screen.

Proximity Alerts

Get notified when someone is nearby

You shouldn't have to open the map every 2 minutes to check how close someone is. With Proximity Alerts, you set a distance once (250 m, 500 m, 1 km, or 2 km) and Arattai notifies you the moment they enter that radius. You carry on with what you're doing, and we'll tell you when they're close.

Modify Duration

Change your sharing time whenever you need to

You can set how long you want to share your location (15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or 8 hours). And if your plans change, you can extend or shorten it anytime, even after you've already started sharing.

Focused at work but want to quickly check on your friend’s journey? Live Location can be viewed on Arattai Web too, so tracking isn’t limited to just phones.

Your location is yours. You decide who sees it and for how long. And when you want to stop, one tap from your chat list ends it right away.
