The Arattai Verification Program gives profiles a way to carry that signal. Whether you're a public figure, a business, a government body, or simply someone who wants others to know they're real, there's a place for you in this program. And every badge in it is completely free, because trust shouldn't cost anything.

Badges That Mean Something

Arattai profiles can now carry one of three badges, each one telling you something specific about the account you're looking at.

1) The Blue Badge

A blue badge means Arattai has reviewed the account and confirmed it is the real deal. It can belong to a public figure, a journalist, a brand, a registered business, a media house or the representative of a government office. So when a creator launches a new channel and their community rushes to follow, every new follower already knows this is the real them, the same person they've been following everywhere else. No doubt, just connection.

2) The Grey Badge

A grey badge is reserved for official government bodies and their multilateral organizations. When you see grey, you're looking at an authenticated official source, such as when a municipal body announces a new public initiative; residents can follow along and act on every update with complete confidence that it's coming from the right place.

3) The Green Badge

The green badge is a little different. You earn it yourself, no review needed, by confirming your identity through the official Aadhaar app. It's the fastest way to show others that a real person is behind your profile. So when someone you met at a college fest reaches out to you on Arattai and they have a green badge when they message you, you know exactly who you're talking to before you even reply.

One Program, Three Tracks

Every badge in the program is free. There is no paid route to verification on Arattai, and we don't have any plans on having any either.

Each track has its own eligibility and what you need to submit, whether you're an individual, a channel, or a government body. The process is straightforward, and every update along the way comes to you directly through the Arattai Alerts Chat.

Badges Are Earned, Not Permanent

Verification isn't a one-time event. Badges are monitored and are removed if an account changes in ways that affect its verified status, like a name change, a transfer of ownership, or a guideline breach. Blue badges for individuals are reviewed every two years. Grey badges for individuals are reviewed every five years. You'll always get a heads-up well before a renewal is due.

The verification program is about making it easier to know who you're connecting with, whether that's a person, a business, or an official body. Every badge is a signal that someone chose to show up as themselves.
